Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is there a way to verify your non-profit status before I make a donation?

Absolutely! The link below will take you to a searchable database at the IRS website. Just search for ISAC in the state of Virginia.

Verify ISAC with the IRS

2. Do you have a list of "good" facilities?

No. Approving or recommending facilities is not in our mission statement.

3. Aren't you Tranquility Bay drop-outs with an axe to grind?

No. While we appreciate the significant reduction in our ages, we are far too old to have ever been in Tranquility Bay or any other WWASPS program.

4. Doesn't accreditation guarantee a good school or program?

No. Accrediting bodies, like any other business, can be established by anyone. Unless the accrediting organization is recognized by the Department of Education, credits may not transfer. Many children "graduating" from these facilities end up having to get a GED.
